How Google detects AI generated content?
Reason 1: Fake News
The fight against disinformation being propagated over the internet, do you really want to create hundreds, even thousands of articles without any review?
Sites with AI content are full of lies, misinformation, and wrong facts, all of that can lead you to be penalized. Google is against fake news and those who spread them. trust me, you don’t want to be on their radar.
Reason 2: Repetitive text
Repetitive text is an issue that still plagues the internet. Unfortunately, mankind has not developed enough competent robot writers.
You will see the same fact repeated multiple times within an article (for example, 4 facts that are repeated 10 times in the article will look bad). At this state, robots are not advanced enough for true fact-checking, and the repetition is apparent.
Reason 3: Low-quality content
Low-quality sites/articles/etc, continuing what I mentioned above regarding repetitive content. Your text will be random and low quality. It will include repetitive facts and other spam.
So how does Google know that your text is spam? Well, readers will have a high bounce rate, and they won’t want to come back to your website.
Additionally, they will not read another article. And the bot will probably add self-generated images that are unrelated to the topic or Youtube videos that are not related to the topic.
Reason 4: Multiple headings
One of the consequences of AI-written articles is an abundance of repeated questions in the titles about the topic (PPA questions).
There are usually repeating headings with the same repetitive questions or random content. Multiple keywords are repeated in the titles which makes the article look spammy.
Reason 5: Out of topic
Tips to use the AI tools in the right way
- Make sure to provide a clear topic before asking the AI to write for you.
- Fix spelling errors.
- Make sure your AI-written content is not repetitive, repetitive writing makes your article hard to read and will likely lose readers. If some word is repeated too much, try to look for synonyms.
- Write at least a few paragraphs manually, this is important for Google’s view of your article.
- Try to create a beautiful website design.
- Do not create articles containing repetitive headings.
- Do not generate articles that are only answers to questions, most online readers want to have a good amount of actual information.
- Check all the information generated by your AI to see if it is right and makes sense, correct the content if needed.
Remember that before you use AI content
Your site’s engagement factors can be analyzed by Google, with the most crucial being user behavior from the search results to on-site interaction and even after leaving. Time spent, clicks, and bounce rate can all contribute to the evaluation of your content’s quality.
Search engines take into account your previous website performance when assessing your current performance, and utilizes their algorithms to analyze statistics and reach various conclusions.
Google can quickly tell that your article is spam and will penalize your site with a worse ranking. If you don’t want to be penalized or have your site ranked low for using fake content, make sure to proofread and edit your article to remove any errors that your AI might have written.
